This website provides estimates of the ideological locations (known as “ideal points”) of organized interests, U.S. states, U.S. solicitors general, and Supreme Court justices in the Supreme Court’s legal policy space. You can also find working papers that develop and utilize these estimates, as well as the raw (but cleaned) amicus curiae brief data (spanning the 1953 through 2013 Supreme Court terms) used to generate the estimates.
